about

- A military drone recalls its circuit-board-altering experiences while surviving in a national park -

lyrics

Do you hear the sound of the train?
It’s fading out and coming back again.
This landscape and its digital scars,
And the fading light in ones and zeros.

Did you feel the temperature change?
And you shouldn’t raise your voice in darkness.
Since I fell from that military plane,
I hover over ponds and watch birds fly.

But I am used to guiding bombs
Use lasers to drive them home.
I am strapped to the belly of a plane.
Put away until they need me again.

Do you see the trails in the sky?
Are they like me with a camera-eye?
The tall reeds and the elegant winds
They dance together; they sway, like old friends.

And do you know what time it gets dark?
That’s when I siphon fuel from parked cars.
Since I fell from that military plane,
I study insect’s eyes with laser beams.

But I am used to guiding bombs
Use lasers to drive them home.
I am strapped to the belly of a plane.
Put away until they need me again.

Since I fell from that military plane,
I hover over ponds and watch birds fly.
And study insect’s eyes with laser beams.
